OUR STORY

Founded in the Bay Area in 2020, Manna is a ministry born from the desperately honest prayers of a group of women who believed with every fiber of their beings that true hope and peace are only found in the Lord. It grew out of the experience and conviction of ordinary believers seeing the mighty hand of an extraordinary God at work.

We love to pray for those we don't know and to share what God lays on our hearts using scripture.

Our approach is simple. We begin with intercession in our homes and cars and offices, basically wherever the Spirit leads. Most of the time it is for people we have never met. We ask the Lord to guide those prayers and as He responds we begin filling out our Manna cards. We place them in envelopes and bring them with us in the everyday flow of life. What comes next has no script, no prescribed approach. Sometimes we leave Manna on a doorstep, sometimes it's on a windshield. One of us felt led to tape one to a motorcycle once. We simply believe, prophetically, with full confidence, that God will guide and direct if we but listen and obey.

Our foundational assertion, that all scripture is God-breathed, is displayed in our preference to let it be the Message to those God wants to reach.

I Received a Prayer Card. What now?

We always stress the importance of testing the scripture you were given. We believe that God uses His Word, people in our lives (including strangers) and divine circumstances to confirm what He is saying.

We are incredibly prayerful when we drop an envelope.
